ColourPop Haul // First Impressions

Hello Beauties,

A few weeks ago I fell down the rabbit hole of online browsing that eventually turns into online shopping. I was originally interested in purchasing from the indie brand Beauty Bakery but, the conversion for Canadians really sucked. So I found myself on the Colourpop website and considering that this post is about you can guess what happened.

If you’re a blogger you know the intentions to only get one thing quickly turns into “Well I should just try it out so I can blog about it…”.

I have had some time to test all my goodies out and I have to say I am overall happy with my purchases. If you have not tried out Colourpop you need to, their packaging is everything, they are cruelty free and every product I have tried is amazing quality for the price.

P.S a big thank you to Ellie for helping me out with creating my new cute signature!

PRO FILTER FOUNDATION

I purchased this in the shade Fair 20. It’s a bit too light for me right now but I’m hoping that it will match more when the winter comes. The formula is very liquidy but lightweight and a medium coverage. I love the clear bottle and white stars and that this foundation has a pump.

PRO FILTER CONCEALER

This shade is waaaaaaay to light for me. I chose the Light 02 because usually I am one of the lightest shades, and usually they are still too dark. I am praying this looks better in the winter because right now I look like a ghost. But the formula is super creamy and easy to blend so thats a plus.

ALL STAR PRIMER

I have used this alone, and under makeup and I am not super awestruck by this but it is better than the Fenty primer in my opinion. It does the basics like helping control my oily spots and blurs most of my pores but just not a ride or die.

SUPER SHOCK HIHGLIGHT – FLEXITARIAN

Thank you Cosmobyhaley for introducing me to this bad boy on your YouTube channel. The formula is so creamy and is true to its name, super shock highlight. When I apply it with a brush it gives a gorgeous beam of light but when I apply with my fingers it’s INSANE.

CREME LUX LIPSTICK – STILL CRAZY

I am obsessed with the rose gold packaging. This gorgeous plum shade is so creamy and easy to apply. I don’t usually lean towards lipsticks but I am sick of the feeling of liquid lipsticks on my lips.

CREME LUX LIPSTICK – STONE FOX

See above for my opinion on this pretty pink nude.

ALL STAR SETTING SPRAY

I am a huge lover of setting spray as they are the icing to your face. Some are better than others but you can still get use out of them by wetting brushes for eyeshadow. Personally nothing can compare to the ride of die All Nighter spray from Urban Decay, so it’s hard to love others ones just as much. I think I like this spray more as a refreshing spritz or base spray, only because I don’t like how big the drops of mist are that come out.

  1. I’m so used to being the lightest foundation shade in most brands so I ordered one of the fair shades too, the foundation is waaaay too light for me! It should work for me in the winter but not right now lol.
Flexitarian is beautiful, it’s been on my list for a long time.
I love the shade range on the Lux Lipsticks! Great haul xx
