THE BEST AND WORST DRY SHAMPOOS FROM THE DRUGSTORE

Dry shampoo is a god send. I have an oily scalp but dry and damaged ends, so not having to wash it everyday has saved me time and my hairs health. All dry shampoos react differently to my hair. I have try numerous brands but only one truly stands out for me. I  have only tried drugstore dry shampoos because I don’t have the guts to spend an arm and a leg for one at Sephora that I would possible not like.

CAKE

Cakes is a cutely free Canadian brand that is found at Shoppers Drugmart and Rexal. I thought that using a powder form of dry shampoo would be easier and better for the environment. I was right about one of those two things. A powder version is so messy and a lot harder than I expected. It smells of cupcakes and I’m all for that. It worked well on my hair but I don’t typically use it because of how messy it gets.

BATISTE

I was lucky enough to get a huge bundle of this stuff from my mom at Christmas. I have tried the typical ones you see on the shelves but I have never seen the 2 in1 bottles and I think they are a game changer. Batiste is my ride or die. Easy to use, a slight white cast but I can deal with that, won’t give my hair a gross feeling and the new one also conditions the hair. The smell of very bottle is amazing and it actually lasts in my hair. Hands down love this stuff.

L’OREAL MAGIC SHAMPOO

I was super excited to get my hands on this stuff when it came out, but sadly it was all hype. It was marketed as a no white cast dry shampoo, which is huge. The packaging is cute but it’s a bit pricy for a dry shampoo and it leaves a horrible feeling in my hair. It left no white cast but I couldn’t use the whole bottle because I couldn’t get over the gross feeling. I did not like this product at all.

GOT 2B FRESH IT UP

I used this one time. My hair looked 10X greasier, I couldn’t get my fingers through my hair it felt so icky, and it left a bad white cast. I wanted to branch out from my usually go to, Batiste, it was not for me.

DELECTABLE

I love cruelty free and Canadian brands so when I saw this on sale at Rexall I had to have it. I wanted to see if using this powder would look any different or be easier than the Cake powder dry shampoo. The packaging was really hard to open (I have to Google how) and it wasn’t the best to work with. It was harder to use and I did not like the feeling it left, it was almost like nothing was there but the little white spots gave it away.
