Happy Monday friends! Over the weekend I became more settled in our new place (my inner Monica Geller came out hard) and went to a friends baby shower, along with testing out some new products! Since moving in we gained our own bathroom with a walk in shower, so you can bet your ass I’ll be reviewing lots of shower related products. Hot showers are my favourite things about the morning and, long hot showers where you can properly pamper yourself is my form favourite self care.
What are your favourite shower products? What is your favourite way to pamper yourself?
This is my first time using a Walton Wood Farm product and I was excited to do so. I love a cute packaging and user friendly website that is filled with promising beauty products that are cruelty free! This specific sugar scrub is:
Vegetarian-Friendly, Cruelty-Free and Gluten-Free
Made with real brown sugar, sunflower oil, coconut oil, shea butter and vitamin E
A natural way to exfoliate, freshen and cleanse your skin
Feel & Smell
I have used a fair bit of scrubs but I have never used one that felt like this. The scrub is like a bigger form of brown sugar, although it was quite hard to get out of the container. While opening the lid the smell of sickly sweet sugar was very noticeable, I was not a fan and I usually love sweet smelling products. I was hoping it would smell more like a cake and not fake burnt sugar. Using it in the shower it was hard to maneuver, it was rough, didn’t stick to the skin and left a weird film on my skin.
I was really excited to use this body scrub based on the packaging and the fact that Walton Wood Farm is cruelty free. But, upon using it I was not impressed by the overall product. I did not like the over powering scent or feel of this sugar scrub.
